I grew up in Asmara, Eritrea and was the 8th of 10 children born to Lebassi. As a young boy I attended Catholic school and always had a fear of the Lord. In March 1988 I migrated to the US and enrolled at Montgomery College. Two years later I had the opportunity to attend a retreat in Columbus, OH where I met my Savior and He changed my focus. To this day, I consider Columbus my spiritual birthplace. In 1991, while in my junior year at the University of Maryland, God filled me with the Holy Spirit. During Thanksgiving of 1992 I received my calling to serve the Lord. Ironically, I was always telling others that I was waiting on the Lord (to reveal my calling to me) when in fact he was waiting on me.
After graduating in 1994 with a degree in electrical engineering, the Lord laid it on my heart to go and prepare for the ministry, so I enrolled in Bible College. I once heard someone say, “I belong to Jesus and therefore I grant Him the right to use me without consulting me” and that was my exact feeling at the time. Five years later I received my degree in evangelism studies. I currently reside in Alexandria, VA with my wife and daughter.
My vision for the ministry is to:
1. Reach the unreachable with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through revivals, media and crusades
2. Touch the untouchable with the healing and delivering power of the Gospel
3. Help others grow in relationship with the Lord
4. Develop disciples in Christ "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." Ephesians 4:12
